The Politics of Education

With the Predidential Election quickly approaching, it is important to know where both candidates stand on Education and Education Reform. Both Candidates want America to have the best education system globally and have higher graduation rates (from both high school and college). Here is a look into their views on Education...

President Barack Obama
Obama fully supports the Early Childhood Head Start Program, and has increased funding for the program in his years as President. Obama wants to stop interest rates on student loans from doubling. He believes that states need to make education a higher priority all across the board.

Mr. Mitt Romney
The Early Childhood Head Start Program is a program that Romney would like to move to the states, along with many other federally funded programs. Mr. Romney also supports the No Child Left Behind law. While Governor of Massachusetts, Romney made many cuts on education funding, and would plan to do so as President. He would put an emphasis on the states paying for education.
