Need Some Extra Help?: Working On Learning Skills

The first thing that strikes me about education is knowledge gain. Education gives us knowledge of the world around us. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life. The problem is that some students have a hard time learning and excelling in life. This can be caused by lack of enthusiasm, dislike of writing, or just a bad environment. Students with learning problems, even those who read well, frequently submit written work which is brief and/or difficult to read.
Such students can be victims of misunderstandings, a problem which becomes much more pronounced at the secondary level. "Accusations of laziness, poor motivation, and bad attitude are often directed toward bad writers. The results can be a serious loss of incentive, a generalized loss of the need to learn and demoralization" (Levine 1998, 363). The students with these learning problems are bound to need help in there academic life and sometimes there home life. Its OK to need help in school, but if you don't ask for it you won't get it. So be sure to turn to someone you trust or just a close teacher to help you out.
